Default Error after rsync

Hi all

I'm getting this error after rsync'ing a production server to a backup/test server:

HTTP ERROR: 404

NOT_FOUND

RequestURI=/

zmcontrol status returns all services started.

If i do an install over the rsync'ed installation everything works fine.

There's a DNS server on the test server to make sure both the host and the domain are the same as in the production server.

Version is zcs-5.0.18_GA_3011.SuSEES10.20090707174207

Any tips? Further info needed?

Thanks!!!

Sounds like you're basically doing the equivalent of a migration, and that's pretty much how I'd expect things to work: after rsync'ing, you must do an install.

These might help: [SOLVED] Zimbra to Zimbra Migration OSE
Moving ZCS to Another Server » Zimbra :: Blog

I'd also search for threads on cold standby.

Hi mate...

Thanks for replying. Yes, i understand that it's pretty much a migration-like setup, but i do have setups (with older versions i must add) that work this way. Cold-standby down, rsync from the production server. Need to restore something? Cold-standby up, access the webclient. Voila...no need to take the reinstall step.

Anyway, what would throw out that error?

PS.: Thanks for the links...been at both of them in the last 48 hours
