Default Zimbra 6 RC 1 - no server stats

Hi,

I dont seem to have any server stats in the admin gui, after my upgrade to v6 RC1.

There doesnt appear to be a zimbra_logger database, should there be? When i try to run the daily report this is confirmed:

zimbra@reef:~$ /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdailyreport
DB: Can't connect to dbi:mysql:database=zimbra_logger;mysql_read_defaul t_file=;mysql_socket=: DBI connect('database=zimbra_logger;mysql_read_default _file=;mysql_socket=','zimbra',...) failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) at /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdailyreport line 527

How do i recreate the required structure for the zimbra_logger db?

Thanks,

Ed

That doesn't exist in Zimbra 6, it's been replaced check the Release Notes (and bugzilla) for details.

Has anyone else seen this problem with 6 RC1? Checked bugzilla, all relates to 5.x that i can see....

Any points as to what this now uses for logged and where? I notice the DB schema is quite different from 5.x

all of the logging is done via syslog, and data is stored in rrd databases files. Make sure data is making it into /var/log/zimbra-stats.log and in some cases you will need to make sure syslog can accept remote connections.

zmdailyreport is not present in the RC1 release, it will return in the GA release.

Deffo got syslog running, with remote connections accepted:

root@reef:/home/imx# ps -ef | grep syslogd
syslog 18132 1 0 Aug28 ? 00:00:35 /sbin/syslogd -r -m 0 -u syslog

Example of zimbra-stats:

Aug 31 13:24:48 reef zimbramon[21518]: 21518:info: zmstat allprocs.csv: timestamp, process, utime, stime, cputime, rchar, wchar, read_bytes, write_bytes, rss, processes, threads:: 08/31/2009 13:24:48, vmstat, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 648, 1, 1

So...all seems to be generating stats, i just dont have any graphs on the message count/volume tabs, and displays no data available on the AV/AS page.

Any other ideas?

Many thanks for the replies.

Same situation now after we have upgraded to 6.0 - No stats and the stats service has now stopped after less than 24hours being up after the upgrade.

Running 6.0NE GA on RHEL 5.3
