Default How to change zimbraId for an account?

Hi

A recent upgrade of a server seems to have wiped out some ldap accounts. The sql and mailstore seems to be intact, so I want to create a new account and then repoint the ldap account to the old sql/mailstore. In order to do this I need to reset zimbraId, however I can't do this through zmprov as it's marked as an immutable field.

Can I override this? If not, I can do this through ldapmodify but in recent versions (this is 6.0rc1) the dit manager dn isn't stored in slapd.conf anymore and I can't work out how to bind with sufficient privileges to update this attribute.

Any ideas?

So zmlocalconfig -s zimbra_ldap_password zimbra_ldap_userdn doesn't work?

Worst case:

slapcat > file

edit file

Move everything in /opt/zimbra/openldap-data except DB_CONFIG elsewhere

slapadd < file

thanks, just found that here:
Ajcody-LDAP-Topics - Zimbra :: Wiki
very useful cheat sheet.

creating a new blank account and then repointing zimbraId to the old sql account seems to the trick nicely. dunno why it wiped half the accounts out, guess that will teach me not to take backups..

I tried to change zimbraId attr in LDAP and everything works well, except "No such user exists" message.
User is able to login/send/receive email, but in Zimbra admin page I unable to edit or view aliases. Admin page keep showing "No such user exists" message.
Help needed !!!
