Default External account management

I have succesfully installed a working server on centos5.3 and so far i am very impressed with the Zimbra server. i did have question about external accounts. when logged in as a user i can go to preferences > Acccounts and create an external accout to download pop3 mail. What i would like to know is how to manage these accounts from the Admin page rather than the users page. Is this possible? if so someone please direct me how

thanks

Welcome to the forums

Unfortunately not as you would need to know their security credentials. If you do have those then why not just use fetchmail ?

i do have the security credentials, and intend to maintain those for the end user so that their web-mail server is invisible. Is the option not there from the admin page at all? i have searched high and low and simply do not see it.

No, though you can manage them from the CLI using zmprov.

Yes command line is an option. i'm sure i can find adequare docs for those commnads. you had also mentioned fetchmail, is that a viable option. what i hope to achieve since i cant manage that info from the admin page. is something simple enough that my staff can handle without the risk of them breaking the server.
