Can't remove folders from mail clients.

If this has been answered already I apologize. I searched for a while before using the forum.

I have a set of folders that appear in various mail clients T-bird, Outlook ... etc.
I cannot delete them from the client. I cannot unsubscribe from them. I cannot move them, select them, rename them or any other form of interaction. They do not appear in the web UI. I tail the log when I try to delete and it tells me there are no such folders on the server. Is this possibly an IMAP cache issue? I'm stumped, and I'm sure it's something straight forward. I'll take the embarrassment to solve the issue.

Any ideas?
