Introducing Zimbra Into An Ms Exchange Email Environment

I am hoping someone can help me on this.

We run an MS Exchange environment today with over 10K+ mailboxes.

Recently we have been looking at Zimbra and have decided to run an operational POC to get greater buy-in from eveyone else.

In reality I do not see a total move away from MS very soon in our horizon but we do want to move majority of users to Zimbra ultimately.

We have set up the Zimbra Server as secondary to MS Exchange on the domain. Using Microsoft's KB we set up a shared SMTP space for Zimbra and MS Exchange.

That is the background to the problem.

The problem: We have mail traffic going from Zimbra to MS Exchange users but the mail flow from MS Exchange to Zimbra still does not happen.

My question: Is there anyone who has sucessfully implementated ZCS where Zimbra runs as a secondary email system in the same domain with MS Exchange? I would love to have their comments and help.

I need to get this POC off the ground before people lose interest.

Yes we used the Split Domain article and configured Zimbra as the secondary system.
