Default [SOLVED] Multiserver setup => new accounts on wrong mbox server

Hi all,

we have a multiserver setup with two separate mbox servers. When creating an account with

zmprov -s <servername> ca <accountname>@<domain> ...

the account is sometimes created on the wrong server. It seems as if the -s option is ignored and Zimbra uses it's own built-in mechanism to decide, which of the two servers the account will be created on.

Has anyone experienced this as well (and maybe has a solution)?

Best Regards,
Jan

Please update your profile with the following information so we know which version of ZCS you are running
Code:
su - zimbra
zmcontrol -v

i don't think -s is what you think it is. i think it's more for if you're running zmprov on another machine and you need to know what server to send the commands to. anyway, theres functionality to limit users created in a particular cos to specific mailbox servers. you can find it in the admin interface, cos, server pool tab. maybe this would be better for you?

I think you're right, bdial. The -s option belongs to the zmprov command, not to the createAccount part. Thanks for clearing that up. We probably will use COS for our purposes.

@uxbod: I've updated my profile.
