| | | Mail delivery is very slow Hi,
Our customer are facing problem with mail delivery...mail delivery is taking around 1 hour... in defered queue i found more than 2000 mails regarding over quota....!!
and in avtive queue ..more than 40 mails r in queue..
I searched this issue in forum...and set below setting as per suggestion to bounced back mail if mailbox is full :
zmprov mcf zimbraLmtpPermanentFailureWhenOverQuota TRUE
And its working...but the message format is : test@example.com>: host mail.example.com[PRIVATE IP ADDRESS OF MAIL SERVER] said: 552 5.2.2
Over quota (in reply to end of DATA command)
So in this mail its showing proviate ip address of mail server next t odomain name....how can we remove that ?
IS there any other stuff i need to check if mails are getting delivered late ??
Please help. |

| | | One more thing...we have one email id backup@example.com...where all clients mails are getting forward and client downloading those mail on daily base on their local disk and taking backup of the pst....
I found that in active queue ...number of count of mails for this ID is very high ..more than 60. Is there any way where we can set low priority for the mail delivery for this specific email ID ? OR any specific duration ?
Please help.
Thanks . |

| | | Slow mail delivery could be due to a mis-configured DNS especially when performing RBL lookups.

| | | I don't think you can; but you should also not be getting a high queue anyway. This would indicate it is related to your original question. If you increase the log_level for Amavis you should be able to track down where the time is taken to process each email.

| | | Check /var/log/zimbra.log as Amavis does not appear to be starting up.
