Supected Spam

Hello,

I've just noticed that mails are returning due to the recipient's mail server refusing it because it suspects my server as being spammed. Here is the error message below :

<recipient@domain.com>: host mail.domain.com[ipaddress] said: 591
recipient@domain.com Your message has been refused because your server
at [ipaddress] is blacklisted at sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org. Please contact
your system admin or ISP.. (in reply to RCPT TO command)

I am behind a NAT and i've noticed this on my test server this afternoon. I had to delist my ip address on spamhaus.org.

Anyone suspect why i have these mails refused ?

Well, this is becomming a larger trend.

You need toget yourself whitelisted.
Go to these sites, and request a white list status:

outblaze.com
(crud, I can't remember the other big one)


Also, it would be a good idea to made sure your server's IP address has a reverse lookup record in your DNS, otherwise you won't be able to send to AOL and others.
