log usage in zimbra 5

I am presently trying to configure Hyperic HQ to monitor my zimbra boxes and have made a little progress.

However, the HQ Zimbra plugin seems to only monitor for availability and I would like to raise alerts when errors occur in the logs. Most of the components are for the generic software (httpd, jetty etc) and require a little modification when used with Zimbra.

So, the question I would like to ask is where Zimbra directs error logging information for the following components:

jetty
ldap
httpd
mysql

The wiki has an interesting article on Logs but it seems not to apply to version 5.

I am using 5.0.16 FOSS
