[SOLVED] Briefcase Problems with external Users

Our Zimbra Server is configured more as a "mail client" than a "mail server". It uses an external ISP as mail relay for sending/receiving mails and provides only a great full featured webbased interface for us.

This works mostly well, but the notes created in the briefcase and documents uploaded to zimbra are not accessible for external users because they using hard linked URLs.

Our internal users access Zimbra by "https://zimbra.lan", the external users by "https://zimbra.mydomain.com" and when an external user klick on a note or a document. The URL looks like this: "https://zimbra.lan:443/home/user@zimbra.lan/Notebook/MyNote"

Why are these files "hard linked" to the server in the LAN and how to get it work for our external users?

BTW: "mydomain.com" is NOT our E-Mail domain, it is just for accessing Zimbras webinterface! The E-Mail Domain is like "external-isp.com"

Ok i found this here:

zmprov md zimbra.lan zimbraPublicServiceHostname zimbra.mydomain.com

After running this command the URL for a external User now looks like this:
http ://zimbra.mydomain.com:443/home/user@zimbra.lan/Notebook/MyNote

This URL is now correct for a public user but since i'm using https and not http it still don't work.

How do i get the public URL to be https like the rest of zimbra?
Any ideas?

I've found one small problem:

If i use the local URL "https://zimbra.lan" and want to open a document i get a dialog from my webbrowser where i must type a username and a password now. Why?

edit: actually, different question:

so, the server runs on mail.server.com

and I have a lot of domains and would like for all the domains on the server zimbraPublicServiceProtocol point to mail.domain.com or mail.domain1.com or mail.domain2.com by default, not mail.server.com.

am i clear? i'm not even sure i understand it :-P
