Default zimbra.log empty and /var/spool/cron/zimbra missing

working on migrating existing zimbra to new servers.
everything is going well, zimbra works on new server.

but on target server when we do zimbra install of same version using ./install.sh -s and once all the content of existing server is copied over and services are started following 2 things are missing.

1) /var/log/zimbra.log is always empty..or if i remember..it did not get created on its own with -s install
2) /var/spool/cron/zimbra is missing.

any pointers..

Raj
