Default Zimbra + Samba - multiple samba servers

This is more of a samba question....

I'll be setting up zimbra + samba using this tutorial, an all in one server: Zimbra Integration With Samba - Ubuntu Based (Similar To AD And Exchange) | HowtoForge - Linux Howtos and Tutorials

My question is if I have more than one samba file server in addition to the zimbra server, how do I point these other samba servers to use the samba/LDAP on the zimbra server? Can someone point me to a link, or shed some light, on how to setup samba on these other servers?

Thanks!

I believe you just join those servers to the domain with the following command:

net rpc join member -U {administrator}

Where {administrator} is the user id of a domain administrator for {domain}. You may be prompted for the administrator's password at this time.

I just did this... the Zimbra wiki article seems to be a bit more relevant for me, anyway. You will want the patches referred to in this bug (for the Admin UI)... or I can give you what I have for the two files referenced (.js files):

Bug 26423 – posix extension requires memberUid to contain a uidNumber

Anway, I have the same question.... should the BDC(s) also point to LDAP(Zimbra), or to the PDC, or what?

Chapter*5.*Backup Domain Control gives a summary, and seems to indicate that the BDC would also point to LDAP. I also hope to set this up soonish... whoever finishes first, add to this post.

The BDC points to the Zimbra LDAP server and, if you have one, it's LDAP replica.

I'm trying to point other samba file servers to the zimbra ldap server for authentication, but I can't get it to work....

I tried:
net rpc join member -U {administrator}

Would I also have to do this on the other servers?
net rpc rights grant "TM\Domain Admins" SeAddUsersPrivilege SeMachineAccountPrivilege SePrintOperatorPrivilege

please help, thanks!
