Default User has changed name. Best way to address this issue.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first higher level IT position so I am still struggling to keep my head above water. Hopefully, this is not a stupid question.

I have a user who has changed her name. She wants to have her new name as her e mail address but does not want to lose any e mails that might be sent to her old name.

I am not sure the best way to take care of this. Should I just have her old mail forwarded to the new name or can I simply change the name of the e mail account?

Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your time and have a great day!

Respectfully,

George D.

i would rename her account so that she's not logging in with her old name, then create an alias for her old name to her new one
