Default Downgrade from Trial to Open Source?

Is there a way to force (not wait 60 days) ZCS Network Edition (trial) into the open source edition? Or are these two totally separate installable products?

You should block mail from coming in to the system then take a backup (NE backup and a full backup of /opt/zimbra) the run the ./install.sh and it will do an in-place 'upgrade' to the OSS version.

This procedure did nothing... I still "have 27 days left in trial." Is this procedure documented anywhere? I noticed, that in the zimbra wiki located here, it states:

Quote:
"Of course, if you're not ready to purchase Network Edition but like Zimbra, you can always revert the Trial to the Open Source Edition. You will lose all the Network Edition benefits, but your data will still be intact plus you will have the basic features."
Do I need to remove or install a license somewhere? This "revert" procedure is not documented anywhere!

On a separate note, what is the user/mailbox/domain limitation (if any) on the open source edition?

Thanks

-Sean

Apparently, you only need to do the following:

su - zimbra
zmzimletctl undeploy com_zimbra_license
zmzimletctl undeploy com_zimbra_mobilesync
zmzimletctl undeploy com_zimbra_domainadmin
zmzimletctl undeploy com_zimbra_backuprestore

I don't think you need to re-run the install process.

This worked for me.

FYI

This did not work.

When trying to add a new account, my Zimbra server reports that the number of accounts has exceeded the limit.

You need to run the OSS installer to 'upgrade' the system, until that is done you will not be able to add any more accounts to your server.

I followed all your instructions. I ran the installer to "upgrade" the system. I am still stuck with the limit of 50 accounts.

Are you saying I need to download the OSS edition and run THAT installer? Or the existing NE installer???

you should download the OSS edition and run its installer. it should be able to detect you're actually 'down-grade' to OSS edition.

I tried that several weeks ago, when our NE edition was expired (not 60-day trial).
