Stop phone number recognition?

Is there anyway to prevent phone number recognition in Zimbra for the time being? We have a firefox plugin that integrates with our phone system and they appear to be conflicting.

In 3.1 you'll have to edit the ZimbraMail_all.js.zgz file. In the next release it will be easy to remove like the rest of the Zimlets.

What about adjusting the number format for non-US countries? Is this possible currently? Or a planned feature?
