Default Removing addresses from the popup list when entering addresses in an email.

When composing a new email, forwarding, replying, etc and I start typing the email address, I get a popup to select an address from a list of possible matches. Is there a way I can prune this list to get rid of addresses I will never send email to?
Example:
I type "use" and I get a list like:
user1@xyz.com
user2@xyz.com
user2@bogus.com

I want to remove user2@bogus.com so it does not clutter up the list.
I have removed user2@bougus.com from my address book but is still shows up in the popup.
Any ideas?
