Default Time Difference

Hi there

I struggling a bit about a time problem.

All my emails have a wrong time, i.e. 3 hours ahead.
The OS Time (CentOS) is correct (based on ntp) and even when I log into the admin panel, the last update time under "Server Status" is correct, but the Services time under ServerStatus are 3 hours ahead ....

Any help is highly appreciated

The only "Local" I can find is the one for the Calendar, I guess, that's not what you're asking for, right?

Hi

I guess you're referring to the "end-User Web-Client", which I#m not using at all (using Apple Mail via IMAP).

But I just opened the web-clinet and it's set to GMT+1, as it should be

If you could let us know which version of ZCS you are running aswell that may help
Code:
su - zimbra
zmcontrol -v

I have just installed 5.0.18 (OSS) and have a similar issue. I'm not sure that my emails have the wrong time (still configuring), but the Server Status display shows times an hour in the future!

zmcontrol -v:
Release 5.0.18_GA_3011.DEBIAN4.0 DEBIANUNKNOWN FOSS edition

zmprov gc default | grep zimbraPrefTimeZoneId:
zimbraPrefTimeZoneId: (GMT-05.00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

/etc/timezone:
America/New_York

date:
Mon Jul 20 11:40:17 EDT 2009

entries in /var/log/zimbra.log:
Jul 20 11:40:07 hiro zimbramon[9378]: 9378:info: 2009-07-20 11:40:01, STATUS: hiro.convivian.com: logger: Running

Rows in logmysql database zimbra_logger.service_status:
| hiro.convivian.com | logger | 2009-07-20 11:40:01 | 1 | hiro |

Admin Console:
shows logger running as of "12:40"

This is an install I did on Debian 5.0 (which I understand is not officially supported). I'm out of ideas on why the status presentation panel thinks it's in the Atlantic. It has the right sense of "local time" when it shows the updated time in the upper left -- it's just doing a TZ mapping on the row data for no obvious reason.

Any thoughts?

Default Similar

I have the same issue. Running on Fedora 8 in a Colinux enviroment
with 5.0.18.

The "updated time" on page is correct, but the Time for the services
are three hours behind.

select * from service_status; Has the correct LOCAL TIME.
+------------------------+-----------+---------------------+--------+-------------+
| server | service | time | status | loghostname |
+------------------------+-----------+---------------------+--------+-------------+
| zimbra.server.com | snmp | 2009-07-22 14:28:02 | 1 | zimbra |

zmprov gc default | grep zimbraPrefTimeZoneId
zimbraPrefTimeZoneId: (GMT-08.00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)

zmcontrol -v
Release 5.0.18_GA_3011.F7_20090707155813 UNKNOWN FOSS edition
