Upgrading

I've been putting off upgrading ZCS NE, and we're currently at 5.04.
Is there any hazard to taking the upgrade from 5.04 to 'current', at once?
Can I just leapfrog over intermediate versions and take us right up to yesterday's release?

Unless there are any specific notes in the forums announcement or Release Notes then an upgrade can be done from one version to another without problems.

You see, I did a version upgrade and an OS change...a year ago, and things went very bad. I did have a backup, but the roll back and recovery was a painful experience.

I've been avoiding repeating that "electric shock" ever since, and have been procrastinating doing the little upgrades along the way.

I know I need to keep up, but I'm 'gun-shy'.

Changing O/S does add its own complications; but this time you are just going through a step release. Just ensure that you completely shutdown ZCS prior to the upgrade and kill off any remnant zimbra processes aswell.
