Default How to eliminate Duplicate Emails

Dear Expert,

I've follow the thread at Eliminate Duplicate Emails but still got duplicate mail for some of my users.

I've changed zimbraMessageIdDedupeCacheSize like below,
[zimbra@collosus ~]$ zmprov gacf | grep zimbraMessageIdDedupeCacheSize
zimbraMessageIdDedupeCacheSize: 8192

Anything I can change to solve this duplicate problem since it always disturbing me

This problem cames when some one is a member of a list and somebody send an email to his mail and to the lists he will get 2 same mail on his inbox.

Please your help.

Thanks,
Donny Christiaan.

The simple answer is that these are not duplicate emails, one message is sent to the user directly and the other is sent to a distribution list and that is forwarded to the users mailbox - they may have the same content but they are initially addressed to different users. Have a look at the headers of both emails, one will have the To: address of the distribution list and the other will have the To: address of the user, both emails will have different Message-ID: and therefore not duplicates.

Hi Bill,

Yes you are right, but sometime zimbra work correctly with sending only one message to the mailbox instead send twice (To user and To distribution-lists) and sometimes zimbra send twice ...

Before using zimbra, I can solve this problem using procmail with my postfix
with .procmailrc file like below

:0 Wh: msgid.lock
| formail -D 32768 procmail.NO_DUPLICATES_MESSAGE_ID_CACHE

Thanks,
Donny Christiaan.
