no I haven't reported it yet - it sounds like you have done more research on this than I have, please submit it if you can.
Agree it's a major bug in POP support - I'm planning to get my users to configure their Thunderbird clients to download from Zimbra using IMAP rather than POP as a workaround, hopefully this will work.
Right now I have no need reporting it - as the new version RC1 obviously solved the issue...
RC1 created another problem though: I can no longer use Mozilla Sunbird via calDAV to write to calendars as explained in the Zimbra Wiki, but I'm happy that now e-mail seems to work fully.
