Firefox and attachments

Hi,
I am looking for a way to open an attachment without firefox opening another browser window? Anyone know how to do this?
Also, has anyone found a way to globaly configure firefox in a network?

I believe there is a bug open for this in bugzilla. If it is there I suggest you vote for it, if not I suggest you create a new bug.
