zimbra authentication with fedora directory server

i created some users in FDS and again why shud i want to create users in zimbra server..is it necessary ??
already i have directory server and it is authenticatin with zimbra.
nw i shud able to log in to the zimbra colloboration suite. but its not happening why ?

Provisioning users in Zimbra does more that just create then for authentication, you must create them in ZImbra as well.

nw everything is working fine for me.

but paswd synchronization is not happening.
in FDS i created one user with passwd
and in zimber server also i created the same user with same passwd(which i created in fds)

nw with username and passwd i can able to log into zimbra colloboration suite.

but when i change the password i cant able to login ...why ?????

I would suggest you read external authentication section in "Zimbra AdminGuide". It is explained very nicely there

We are using a central LDAP repository of users (Fedora Directory Server). Can we use this instead of Zimbra's inbuilt LDAP for:

1. Password synchronization
2. Auto-Provisioning of users

Are these features available in the Open Source or only commercial release?

We have seen forums in which it is mentioned that it can be done using a script provided in the paid version. If yes kindly verify the same along with its features.
