Nope... I've read that document (and a lottt more! :P ), but that's not what we are needing.
We have a very weird mail platform where external domain is converted via LDAP to an internal domain (and goes through 1: Ironport 2: Postfix MTA with virtual talbes@LDAP who acts as a delivery "boy" and 3: server who does have the mailboxes and belongs to an internal domain name).
In order to migrate to Zimbra we need to coexist those platforms, but as I'm pruning that ugly internal domain thing we are installing Zimbra with our external domain as our primary domain and the internal one as an alias. As for testing purposes I'm also creating and syncronizing all our users database from our LDAP to Zimbra i've ALL users created at Zimbra server's.
This behavior makes all mails comming out from Zimbra deliver to Zimbra itself even when the user isn't already migrated. In order to avoid that we need all mailing to be going out of Zimbra servers and go to server "2" (delivery boy ) who actually knows where the mail box is via our own LDAP.
Yeah, I'm sure it will be hard to understand, sorry!
