Angry problem with attachments - APPEND Error, mails dissapear

Hi there,

I try to inject some mails from a /var/spool/imap/ - dir to a zimbra-account as it is described in some threads in this forum.

Basically this is working perfecty, but only for some mails and never for all. The following errors do occur:

Quote:
[error] Delivery failed msg=5216. rcpt=user@zimbra.xy response=451 4.0.0 Temporary message delivery failure try again
I tried to "try again" several times as the errormessage requested, but the result was similar - some more or less mails were injected - but not all.

any ideas out there?

thanks in advance

p.s.: unfortunally the original imap-server is'nt availabe - just the directory with the mails - so i can't use a imap-sync tool :-(

Take a look at the tomcat log in /opt/zimbra/log/zimba.log

Thanks for the hint, but there is no logging output from any of the zimbra components in the logfile. Do I have to turn it on for tomcat somewhere?

If you're not logging, this may indicate a larger permissions issue.

What are the permissions on the log file and the parent directory?

Okay then, post the log, and let's see what it says.

let's make sure everything is running (zmcontrol status). then run tail -f /opt/zimbra/log/zimbra.log while lmtpinjecting and post whatever shows up. after you get the errors, check zmcontrol status again.

are you running this as one batch? about how many messages total? are there many big messages?
