Default Do I need glibc.i686 on a 64 bit system?

I have v5.0.13 running on a RHEL5.3 server, and I noticed that it has glibc for both x86_64 and i686. Does Zimbra need this for something? This server is dedicated to being a zimbra archive server for us, so I'd like to know if it's needed before I rip it out.

Thanks,
Neil

$ rpm -qa --qf "%{NAME} %{ARCH}\n" |grep glibc
glibc x86_64
glibc-common x86_64
glibc i686
