Default Mails are bouncing wothin the internal domain servers

Dear Saints

I have zimbra 5.0 setup on debian 4.0 with two mailbox servers at two locations for single domain. everything is working fine but one problem.
the problem is whenver the internet link broken between these two servers,
immediately all local mails are bouncing back with connection timed out error instead of waiting in queue.

how to put local those domain mails in queue to wait for connection restore between those mailbox servers.

Thanks much
bhaskar

I presume you have MX record configured at both locations and ldap replica also at both sites. Since you have distribute users, if one site goes down other should not be bouncing mails immediately, rather deferring it in queue for max life time of default 5 days. Are you experiencing same behaviour ?
