Default Zimbra mail queue (when MTA dies)

Hi,
when Zimbra MTA dies, all the incoming & outgoing mail during that time will be store in queue. And all these mails will be kept there till MTA wakes up or they will be deleted after a period of time ? Can I view these mails ?

You mean Postfix MTA or Zimbra's tomcat LMTP? If postfix dies no more mail will be received you'll just trigger bounces. If Tomcat dies then postfix will queue the mail. Use postque -p to view the items in the queue. postqueue -f to flush it.

I think you should probably investigate why your MTA is dying.
