Default Trusted Network Spam

We have some users that are using email clients (thunderbird/outlook express) and I've added their subnet to our trusted networks.

The question I have is what if their pc was infected and started sending out spam, since they are a trusted network, are the emails still scanned? Lets say one is spamming the server will Zimbra recognize it and block that user?

Why have you added their subnet to your Trusted Networks? It's not necessary, a user external to your LAN that authenticates against your server (with a valid email account & login) will be able to send mail via your server - you should remove their subnet from your Trusted Networks and let them authenticate against the email account.

phoenix is right. Use smtp auth rather than whitelisting networks

Default Different subnet

They are on a different subnet, before I added them to the trusted networks they would get relay access denied when using their client.

So basically if they are in the trusted networks they are not scanned?

No. The problem of relay denied appears with clients like outlook and thunderbird. In your admin console uncheck " under server -----> and MTA tab-----> TLS authentication only " and send mail with my server requires authentication in your outlook client setting. It should solve your problem
