Personas show as "On Behalf Of"

We are fighting a huge political issue where users with multiple personas try to send a message but it gives the "On Behalf Of" label, revealing the original sending address and creating a business risk.

I see that this is discussed in bug 22819 but am unable to determine if this was fixed in any of the 5.0.X (Franklin) releases or if we have to wait until GNR?

We're on 5.0.16 and it continues to be an issue with child accounts, but if you instead share out the root of the child account and have the parent set up a persona for the from address, that probably works more like you're looking for.

zmmailbox -z -m <child@domain> mfg / account <parent@domain> rwidx (give parent manager permissions to root of child account)
zmmailbox -z -m <parent@domain> cm /<desired folder name on parent's view> <child@domain> / (add child's root to parent's folder view)

We are currently using aliases and personas, it looks like the solution you detail requires addtional accounts/licenses, let me know what your results have been.

Does the Child have to belong to the same domain as the Parent?

No additional accounts/licenses if you use resource accounts...although if you aren't hiding accounts behind a shared address, then it might be as simple as allowing user accounts to 'send as any address' in the account preferences. Have you done that?
