customized "From" in emails?

Some users have different mail-accounts and like to send emails from their zimbra-adress so that in the "From"-header appears their gmail/gmx/whatever-adress.

While I can add personalities for each user the From-header will always be their zimbra-account which is not wanted in every case.

In Thunderbird you can easily add any personality you want - in zimbra you seem restricted to be restricted to domains hosted within the same zimbra-installation.

Go to the Admin UI and find the setting for "Allow sending email from any address", that will allow them to set the 'from' address.
