[SOLVED] Upgrade trial license with a new trial license

Hello,

OS: Ubuntu 8.04
ZCS: 5.0.15_GA_2851.UBUNTU8.NETWORK
Actual license: trial to June
Wanted license: trial to August
Status of the server: In use, with 11 users

I wanted to upgrade the license. So I tried via Web admin interface -> Global Parameters -> License -> browse to the .xml file downloaded via Thunderbird -> Install -> ZaLicenseInstallWizard.prototype.installCallback Method: AjxException.UNKNOWN_ERROR Détails :system failure: error in uploaded license

Next, I tried manual method:
shell#su zimbra
shell# zmlicense -i ZCSLicense.xml
Error: exception occurred: system failure: error in uploaded license

Where did you get the new trial licence from?

From support.zimbra.com and forwarded to zimbra's sales. Because my company need more time to experiment the solution. Is it important ?

If I could avoid reinstalling ZCS, I will be very happy...

When you go to the zimbra user you should use the hyphen i.e.

su - zimbra

That will set the correct environment, try that and see how you get on.

I checked the rights : zimbra user can read and write.

Is it possible to reinstall ZCS and keep parameters, mail boxes, etc ?

I tried to re-execute the script install.sh. It keept parameters, mail boxes, but didn't remove the previous license.

Would you try installing license using command line tool:-

zmlicense -i < licence file>

Ask for a new license and try that. may be this license file is not proper.

I seem to remember you cant put a trial on a trial, it has to be a trialExtended licence.

The web based NE trial signup form provides trial, think you'll have to contact someone from sales@ to get a trialExtended InstallType.
