Default Messages getting stuck in queue

Hello,

Lots of our messages are getting stuck in the deferred queue. We are getting timeouts errors.

For instance; "connect to mx2.ovh.net [213.186.33.45]. Connection timed out" for a domain registered with ovh.net

Its not the "Enable DNS lookups" uncheked checbox that you can find in the global settings

Please Help! This is really urgent otherwise Ill have to give up on zimbra

Is this your domain or a domain you're trying to send to? If the domain is unavailable via DNS or it's down then there's nothing Zimbra can do about it other than queue the mail for later delivery - that's the way email works.

Its a domain we are trying to reach and its working well. The queue gets filled up by emails we are trying to send to different domains so its not a problem with the recipients

Can you telnet to the mail server from your Zimbra server?

actually you had a very good point. we can telnet to the servers to which we can send emails to, but not the servers to which we cannot send emails to

Seems like a networking issue.. let me know if you have other ideas

thanks again

Well, I'd say it's either a networking issue or a DNS issue - I'd check DNS first then networking problems.

Thanks for your help. We had to pull back on our Zimbra installation for now because we had too many issues.
