Default [SOLVED] Class of Services missing when creating new user account

When I create a new user account I'm only offered the default COS as an option. Neither of my other two COS's, which do exist, are shown in the pull-down bar.

I recently upgraded from 5.0.6 to 5.0.16. Since the old version is there a setting for each COS that enables/disables them being shown for new user account creation by admin?

Default Classes of Service missing when creting new user account

Upon inspection, I found the following. When unselecting Default for the COS, if I begin to type into the COS field, then and *ONLY* then will I get the pull-down bar and my subsequent list of available COSes.

Is this supposed to be the way setting COS for a new account functions? Is there a setting anywhere in the Admin interface for allowing the list of available COSes to be displayed initially in the New User dialog pane?

It certainly didn't behave this way in 5.0.6.

The behaiour was changed from a static selection list to a dynamic live-search style approach in 5.0.9 (if I recall right) I think this was to better support large numbers of COS's.

A 'please everyone' approcah may be to count the COS's before rendering them and if there are less than 10 stored, then show then in a selection box, and only use the live version for when there actually are lots of COS's on the server. If this seems like something you'd like, raise a feature request on the bugzilla.

Personaly I find the new interface to be fine, but we use only COS, one of those is admin so noone gets that, and the standard is auto selected and almost everyone gets that one, so I rarely have to change it.

Thanks Dirk. I can live with this as we only have three COSes and it's not too much trouble to deal with. Most new account creation for us is done in bulk anyway. I just wanted to make sure something wasn't broken.

Cheers!
