Default Anti-Spam and Mark as Junk

Hi,
If we turn off the Anti-Spam service; what would happen if a user select a message and click on Mark as Junk? does it really do anything if Anti-Spam is not running?
Thanks.

It moves the message into the Junk folder.

Default Still confused

I understand it will move a message to the junk folder; will similar emails be moved to the Junk folder in the future? Remember, Anti-Spam filter is not running when user do this.
Thanks.

No. If you are not running the AV/AS services, then the system does not learn, and does not do any automatic filtering. You have to continue to manually press the Junk button.

However, if you have an AV/AS server in front of the Zimbra server, and there is a method for passing messages to that so that it can learn from messages, then you can write scripts that will go into people's Junk folders and forward those messages onto the spam server for learning.

This is what we are testing right now.
