Default [SOLVED] Help with spf record

Hey guys,

I'm setting up an spf record for my domain.

v=spf1 mx:mail.domain.com -all

which works fine except that my mail server is behind a firewall and all traffic goes out through it. The firewall ip is for example. 190.190.190.190

I'm getting bounces from other servers that say that 190.190.190.190 is not authorized on my spf record.

How can i include it?

Thanks,

You can include the IP of your server with the following format:

Code:
v=spf1 a mx ptr ip4:190.190.190.190 include:domain.com ~all
Notice the 'include' is for the domain not the FQDN of your server.

You can use the setup wizard on this page: SPF: Tools and there are plenty of tools on the internet for testing the records syntax such as these:

SPF Query Tool
MXToolBox - Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record lookup

Thanks!

190.190.190.190 is supposed to be the public ip address, right?

Yes, I assumed that's what you were talking about.
