I am System administrator and I want to know what are the basic steps that we need to follow in order to do a maintenece..

What maintenance are you talking about?

I mean regular zimbra mail server maintenance .which commands we need to run.

You don't need to do anything except backup your data (and test a restore of it for disaster recovery), have a read of the Admin Guide.
