Hello,
I have been running in quasi production for two weeks now. The server was taken down for a bios update then restarted. The date was not reset to the current date.
We immediately noticed the problem when mails started going out time stamped 1989.
The server was shutdown and the bios date properly reset. I am sure this kind of procedural error never gets tested. Anyhow, below is the daily error we are getting...
Quote:
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: bad year 1989 for file /var/log/rpmpkgs in state file /var/lib/logrotate.status
error: could not read state file, will not attempt to write into it

Any suggestions?
