Default Zimbra pricing for students.

Hi, everyone!

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but running a quick search didn't yield anything. I am on my final year as an undergraduate, and have been looking for groupware solutions for my mail server. I'm running Zimbra Network Edition, and am really liking it (despite the pain in setting it up).

I know that Microsoft offers its Exchange product for free (with 5 CALs, I think) through its MSDN Academic Alliance network for students. Is there any similar pricing options for students wishing to use Zimbra Network Edition?

If this holds up well, I will consider buying a server license, but it doesn't hurt to know. Thank you!

Hi, uxbod. Sorry for not attending to this post sooner.

I contacted Zimbra last week on pricing, and it seems that they had no academic pricing packages available. Since I heavily rely on mobile synchronization, I just went ahead and installed Exchange 2003 on the same machine.

I do find it somewhat odd that Microsoft offers their Exchange software free for students on MSDN AA and some non-profits, but Zimbra does not (at least for anything above Open Source Edition). This is a bit of a shame, since I really liked Zimbra and would definitely not mind deploying it for a small business and my own personal use.
