customize virus notification email ?

Dear All,

We're testing the anti-virus feature on Zimbra by EICAR testing pattern.

1. login user1@domain from WebClient, send an email to user2@domain
2. user1 will receive nothing
3. user2 / admin will receive a notification , which reads like below :

Subject: VIRUS (Eicar-Test-Signature) in mail TO YOU from (?)
Sender: "Content-filter at my.domain" <admin@my.domain>

Email body:

VIRUS ALERT

Our content checker found
virus: Eicar-Test-Signature

in an email to you from unknown sender:

claiming to be: <user1@my.domain>

Content type: Virus
Our internal reference code for your message is 09631-01/YI+iH3SYw+jE

Question#1:
the notification email can NOT display correct "user1" in the subject,
and it also said :
"in an email to you from unknown sender" in the email body.

Are these normal hehavior?

Question#2:
Is it possible to customize the sender :
"Content-filter at my.domain" <admin@my.domain>

just hope to keep it short , something like: admin@my.domain


This is on 5.0.16 OSS edition.
Any advice on these? Thanks in advance.

Never updated these myself but a couple of things you will need to do :-

1) Have a read through http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/README.customize.txt
2) Have a look at the end of /opt/zimbra/amavisd/sbin/amavisd-new

I believe you will need to take a copy of one of the templates from the end of the sbin file and append that somewhere in /opt/zimbra/conf/amavisd.conf.in. Once changed ZCS will need to be restarted. You change the .in file so that /opt/zimbra/conf/amavisd.conf is preserved across restarts.
