Unhappy SMTP Relay

hi all,
I am using a zimbra mail server locally.when i am trying to relay the
mails through an exim mail server (ISP) its is not allowing me to
relay through eventhough i am trying it with authorised username and
password.
Logs from the exim server says that

(testserver2.mydomain.net) [83.112.214.22] F=<adarsh@mydomain.net>
rejected RCPT <vpadarsh@gmail.com>: de2-b1225.alshamil.net.ae
(testserver2.mydomain.net) [83.112.214.22] is currently not permitted
to relay through this server. Perhaps you have not logged into the
pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP
Authentication turned on in your email client.

and the zimbra logs says
May 14 14:49:53 testserver2 postfix/smtp[16150]: 2FAEA33EB5: to=<vpadarsh@gmail.com>, relay=72.36.132.186[72.36.132.186], delay=10, status=bounced (host 72.36.132.186[72.36.132.186] said: 550-de2-b1225.alshamil.net.ae (testserver2.mydomain.net) [83.110.214.225] is 550-currently not permitted to relay through this server. Perhaps you have not 550-logged into the pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP 550 Authentication turned on in your email client. (in reply to RCPT TO command))

i am able to send mail out when i am not using the relayhost entry.

i have the zimbra postfix entries as
content_filter = smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10024
myhostname = testserver2.mydomain.net

Hi

Welcome to the forums.

Don't you need to set 'smtp_sasl_auth_enable=yes' as well?

It's not a good idea to add your question to a thread that's over four years old. This question has been answered many times in the forums you should search the forums or wiki for details on how to do it.

It would also be an idea if you gave some follow-up to the last thread you started and answer the questions that I asked you.
