Question [SOLVED] Why is redolog getting so big?

Hello all!

I am hoping someone might give me a pointer here...

I have a fresh install doing a migration of mail from exchange. In total (from the PST files) we have about 12GB of data. I have imported all of the data to Zimbra and my store is about 16GB (understandable) but my redolog folder is eating up 27GB and I am running dangerously close to being out of room. Why is the redolog getting so big and why did a full backup not trim this down?

zcs-NETWORK-5.0.15_GA_2851.SuSEES10

Thanks. -Peter.

For some reason redo logs only get cleaned out by incremental backups. When we were doing our migration we disabled redo logs to avoid this problem.

nrc,
Cool. I didn't know you could do that. Where did you find out how to disable them? I just searched the wiki and forums with no avail.

Thanks ever so much! :-)
-Cheers, Peter.
