I have a mailman list on another server. The different domain on the email address is difficult for some users and I want to setup an address on the primary domain to just blindly forward over to the mailing list. I've tried setting up a sendmail 8 style aliases file, making the database with postalias and appending it as a hash to the postfix_alias_map line, but all I get is "mail transport unavailable" when I try to send an email to this new address. Where have I gone wrong?
Creating an account burns a license which I don't think is nessessary. It's just postfix at the core, shouldn't there be a way to forward one address out to another machine?
