what is the limit for external IMAP?

Seems there is a hard limit for the size of a mail store for external IMAP
accounts.

From my testing, it's somewhere between 100M (which works) and 500M (which
does not work)

Anyone have external IMAP mail stores >500M that work ?
Anyone know what the limit is?
