Mac OS X & fetchmail

I'm trying to get the fetchmail solution implemented on OS X and am having difficulties. Has anyone gotten this going on OS X and can provide some instructions & guidance?

I guess I'm just not sure of the real step-by-step process, and what I actually need to do. The instructions weren't clear to me.

Well not sure how we can help there. If your not familiar with fetchmail then it may add to the confusion. Did you try to search on fetchmail and read up on the how it works? The steps aren't that difficult. So try them out and post where you get stuck. Then we should be able to help.

I was making this way too difficult. I got this working by not even following the sticky thread and just using normal fetchmail commands and adding an entry into crontab.
