Question Bounce notifications

Hi,

A couple of days ago, a customer sent a mail that didn't get to the intended recipient because it was blocked by the mail server due to size restrictions.
Let's just say there was a lot of trouble raised.

Anyway, my superiors want to setup a notification service that would send a mail to the sender when the mail cannot be sent with reason and would also send a mail to the intended recipient that someone tried to send him/her a mail but couldn't because ....

You get the picture?

I am in need of assistance as to how to achieve this.

Any ideas?

So was it blocked by your server or the recipients ?

I have two parallel systems.
One Windows based and the other Zimbra...
What I want is for the two different platforms to send mails to both sender and intended recipient if the message cannot be delivered, for any reason (blocked by server or recipient is not available @ the time)

I will take care of the Windows end but I want to know if Zimbra or any other 3rd party tool is capable of achieving this.

Thanks for responding

If it's blocked on the recipient end, the sender should generally get a message back (from the recipient's email system) saying that the message was blocked due to size. I know some of my users here have gotten that on occassion.
