can you retry with the latest migration wizard? there was a new one included with the 3.1.1 release that happend 2 days ago that includes some more extensive logging.

When the new one runs into an error it will generate several log files that contain the source message, xml request and xml response that caused the error. Can you post these files?

It's part of the 3.1.1 download. Just upgrade to 3.1.1 and you'll get the new tool.

I have errors too when I'm trying to import messages with the Import Wizard.

I ran with the 3.1.0 GA 332 version and I'd try to upgrade to 3.1.1 to get the new import tool.

with the 3.1.0, import process stops after 4 errors with the message : Parse error, invalid XML character

with the 3.1.1 tool, it freezes during import. Log file is filled :

The import wizard has created another file (cbb84037f3234d13e0686db00406760d.m2l) which is empty.


Outlook is configured to work in French (if locales can be accused) and mailbox directory contain French accents.

Any idea ?

I made a beautiful pst files (this file is ok, i haven't any pbme to import it to another outlook) with only the outlook calendar.

When I launch the import process, no error, but nothing has been imported (the pst file size is about 4Mb)

I upgraded zimbra to 3.1.1;

When i Run the new migration wizard, it freezes for more then 2 hours , and when i click on "cancel" button, it shows me the message "connot quit while import in progress";

should i wait for longer time?

looks like a bug with french locale. we will take a look today and report back. if you can supply us with a PST we can get a fix quicker.

Also, the 3.1.1 wizard is supposed to generate additional info for each error. Are there a bunch of xml and msg files in the same directory as the wizard?

to kallagan and nabmed: french locale looks busted; we'll take a look and report back today

to kallagan: the import wizard/migration wizard does not migrate calendar items yet. this will be in an upcoming release. if you search the forums you will find a workaround

to nabmed: for the freeze issue, are you trying to import a very large mailbox? is the process idle or is it using cpu? whats in the log file?
