Exclamation Multiple domain and Active Directory Connectivity

Hello,

I hope someone is willing to help me with the next two issues.

Unther VMware :
RH5 Enterprise Zimbra E-mail server.
One windows 2003 Domain Server.

Intention is to build a multiple e-mail domains enviroment. The authentication must be done by windows. When user logs in on Zimbra, with ldap the system must check his/her authentication.

My problem starts when I want to build a communiction based on ldap between windows ans Zimbra. Unther domains I select verification, select AD,
give server name and in ldap field the server name again, port 389.
Next i give domain name and the password

As result I get : javax.naming.AuthenticationException: [LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C090334, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 525, vece

The second thing is with a second domain.

After adding the second domain and the same smtp server as the first domain

I get with the MX check option the message :
None of the MX records math this name.

people I need a good book. The pdfs of Zimbra are poor and the book I bought writen by Marty Nisnick was even wortless.

I have a similiar issue. I can pass the test, but the "Finish" button is grayed out and does not let me complete the config.

For your problem, make sure you are putting in the AD "domain name" and not the server name. Also, try it by IP address and see if it works. If it passes the test, then you need to revisit your DNS situation. Most likely you are doing a Split Horizon setup with Bind9 on your zimbra server, it will need to be able to find your AD server by hostname before it will work.

If you aren't doing Split Horizon, you should consider it, and if you do not plan to, you probably need to resolve entirely by IP.
