Default Global wildcard aliases (firstname.lastname)

Is there an easy way to create a global alias so that every account has firstname.lastname@domain or any other variation we think appropriate?

Thanks!
Dan

What do you mean by a 'global alias', do you mean they all have the same alias?

Basically I'd like to be able to use a variable for ldap fields and sent aliases globally, so %firstname%-%lastname%@domain.com, or %firstname%.%lastname%@domain.com - something that would go for every user without having to go to every single account and add that. We did this years ago at a previous job with sendmail/ldap where we had 35k+ accounts so I figure it has to be possible with postfix/ldap today...thoughts?

And thanks, I've been gone awhile so good to be back
