Hi,

the papaya74's example shows how to modify the /etc/ha.d/haresources file. Has anyone got any experience on how to deal with the Heartbeat V2 cib.xml file? I know how to configure the drbd part of the cib.xml

DRBD/HowTov2 - Linux-HA

But not sure how the zimbra service fits here. Thank you.

Question Update?

Papaya74 - could we get another update on your DRBD setup?

How often failed-over?
Any issues so far?

Thanks for your input to date!

Would papaya74 like to document this step by step. I am sure it would help out a number of admins who are looking to do the same thing.

I know it will help me out!

I too have been asked by the powers that be to look into this kind of setup.

I'd like to know how upgrades to Zimbra are handled with this?

since everything is stored in the /opt/zimbra folder, there should be no problems.

I can get DRBD running but I'm getting stuck with the HA setup (aka it's not working).

I have drbd loading as a module at startup ok, and have my /etc/ha.d/haresources setup but I'm obviously missing something else as my secondary node isn't taking over.

If anyone could enlighten me any further on getting that side of things setup I'd be most grateful.

Hi tapan,

i had two server in development envirnoment (opensource zimbra 4.5.10)
one with ip 172.17.218.43
and other with ip 172.17.218.44

with common /opt/zimbra on storage drive on both

i need to implement DRBD in between them.
so if one zimbra server fails then other sould be started automatically
with that common storage( /opt/zimbra).

Have you tested the upgrade? I know everything is in /opt/zimbra but I think still some rpm db or others are needed.

Does anyone have the experience for upgrade within Hearbeat/DRBD?
